TESTIMONIALS
“
“Nicole has been an invaluable asset in self publishing my first book of poetry. Offering great advice on how to start the process of publishing a work of poetry and the various tools needed to ensure that it met the guidelines. The feedback and hands on approach of being a second eye contributed immensely to the finished product. This book of poetry is a compilation of poems from a husband to his wife. In short, it is a love story over a cubicle of time.”

BIO

Nicole has been an educator for over 10 years. She has worked with students in kindergarten thru 9th grades, as a special education teacher, special education coordinator, tutor, and advisor for students in the New York City Charter School system. During her years as a classroom teacher, she worked in Integrated Co-Teaching classroom settings, and as a SETSS provider. She also had the privilege to co-lead professional development sessions for fellow staff members and teachers; as well as prepared and co-led in-person and online activities for students. Overall, she enjoys teaching and encouraging the next generation to discover their unique talents and impact their communities.
Outside of teaching, Nicole is also a writer. In 2009 she self-published a collection of poetry entitled, A Simple Place. Her desire to see other writers succeed, led her to be a consultant for 5 writers entering the self-publishing market. She’s also a member of SCBWI and Poets and Writers. Currently she enjoys writing humorous and thought-provoking picture books, and YA fiction (she is nearing completion of a historical fiction). Nicole also enjoys comedy. She agrees with the proverb, "A joyful heart is good medicine..." (Proverb 17:22). It brings her joy to put a smile on someone's face or to brighten someone's day. For this reason, over the years, she participated in improv classes, has been apart of an improv gorup, and has done stand-up comedy at small events.
Today, you can find Nicole teaching and tutoring part time, writing picture book manuscripts, tinkering on her YA historical fiction, while balancing the beautiful, adventurous journey of being a wife and mother of two boys.
