Tutoring

"Dedicated to help students discover their strengths, face their challenges, and grow academically."

My journey into teaching started in 2013. After receiving my Master of Science degree in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities (for grades 1 - 6) and currently hold my New York Professional Teaching License (in Childhood and Students with Disabilities for grades 1 - 6), I have had 8 years of classroom experience - teaching students in Integrated Co-Teaching classrooms, in charter schools, from Kindergarten thru 9th grade. When I taught in elementary and middle school settings, I primarily focused on teaching Mathematics and English Language Arts. Currently I have been teaching Pre-Algebra and Regents Algebra 1 (in an ICT setting) for 9th grade students at my high school in the Bronx, NY.

As a teacher and a mother my mission has always been, to teach and built up the whole child. Realizing academics does not define who a child is (it's only one important aspect of who they are). As a teacher I enjoy finding out what talents, personality, and interests my students (and child) have, and I help to inspire those pieces of their lives and incorporate it into their learning.
